IMG Artists Welcomes Tenor Freddie Ballentine to its Roster for European Management

IMG Artists is delighted to welcome the Grammy® Award-winning tenor Freddie Ballentine to our roster for European management. Freddie is represented by Artist Manager Callan Coughlan and Assistant Artist Manager Jennifer Spencer-McDaid from the London office.

Described as having “charisma and presence enough to fill a vast stage” (Broadway World), Freddie’s 2024-2025 season includes debuts with the New World Symphony (Harlekin in Der Kaiser von Atlantis, Stéphane Denève conducting), Austin Opera (Ben Marco in The Manchurian Candidate), and Utah Opera (The Witch in Hänsel und Gretel). He returns to Dutch National Opera for the world premiere of We Are The Lucky Ones, gives recitals with pianist Kunal Lahiry for Konzerthaus Berlin and Seattle Opera, appears in concert with Pacific Vocal Series, and bows with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Yannick Nézet-Séguin as Melot in Tristan und Isolde.

Freddie said: “I’m so honoured to be joining the Team at IMGA, and to begin working with Callan. Building an experienced and trustworthy team can be such a daunting task for an artist. However, I strongly believe in Callan and know that his knowledge, along with the powerful force that is IMGA, will be an excellent fit me and my career goals. I’m excited to see what the future holds with this partnership.”

Callan said: “I am thrilled to welcome Freddie to the roster for European management at IMG Artists. He’s an incredibly engaging and dynamic performer with such a distinct artistic voice and vision. I am excited to collaborate with the highly respected team at Fletcher Artist Management in what I’m sure will be a very successful partnership.”

Admired for his versatility and individuality, Freddie was the 2021 recipient of the Kennedy Center’s Marian Anderson Award, and is an alumnus of both the Cafritz Young Artists of Washington National Opera and the Los Angeles Opera’s Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program. He has trained with Wolf Trap Opera, Aspen Music Opera Center and The Opera Theatre of St. Louis, who awarded him the Thelma Steward Endowed Artist Alumni Award.
