Tenor Nicholas Phan earns his 4th and 5th nominations. He is nominated for his album, A Change is Gonna Come in the Best Classical Solo Vocal Album category and for Best Opera Recording for Deutsche Grammophon’s Saariaho: Adriana Mater, which is also nominated for Best Contemporary Classical Composition. He shares the latter honor with two first-time nominees: soprano Axelle Fanyo and mezzo-soprano Fleur Barron.
5-time GRAMMY® Award winner Renée Fleming captures her 19th nomination. She is nominated for Best Opera Recording for Puts: The Hours.
Soprano Gabriella Reyes also enjoys her first nomination in the Best Opera Recording category for Catán: Florencia En El Amazonas.
